neologism

ne·ol·o·gism -noun
1.a new word, meaning, usage, or phrase.
2.the introduction or use of new words or new senses of existing words.
3.a new doctrine, esp. a new interpretation of sacred writings.

Letters, which make up words, are merely symbols. Their essence is nothing more than lines and curves which we interpret, through our experience, to give meaning. Some combinations are valid symbols and have associative meaning, and some are nonsensical.
Art works very much the same way. Pieces can be abstract and offer no meaning whatsoever, or they can - through their own type of "lines and curves" - spark something in the experience of man that turns them into meaningful new "words."

Ok, I said I would post comments.
"Interlude" has great colours and texture. (Is that corrogated underneath?) I also keep looking at it thinking it is the fetus "downloading" thoughts via inkblot. Whether it was your intention or not, that's what I see.
"Chronology" has so much in it, but I still want to examine it closer, such as the stamps and the background pages. I really love that you "strung up" the martyr keys on a guitar string. I found humour in it. ;)
"Ouvrez-la" I am not ashamed to admit I didn't understand until I figured out what it translated to. Then, the giant loser tatoo emerged again on my forehead. Ah, well, my apologies! Very nice, except it leaves me wondering what the dark round object is and how I open paintbrushes.
"Blessed" has excellent composition and beautiful colors (I want that constellation map). The patina on the baptism certificate is wonderful. Did you find it this way, or did you help it?
