мои друзья

Here's to my friends...

- who loan me Xanax when the world gets too heavy and my mind short-circuits
- who dance drunkenly on a roof ledge to Irish reels after pints upon pints of stout, and then will wake my arse up to go out again afterwards
- who drive me to my stranded car because I ran out of gas... again
- who goad me into skiing down a hill as fast as possible and then sum it up with, "C'mon, you can jump that."
- who share a secret with me because I'm more fucked up then they are and have no room to judge
- who stay up until 2am painting with me because I ran out of Xanax and need to keep the sparks from engulfing
- who accompany me to the movies because my brother decided to go with the anonymous girl who is "dark as sun... soft as blades..."
- who love me tolerate me despite my pretension, bullshit, antics, debauchery, brooding, tantrums, and other quasi-bipolar manifestations

Personal goal: This month I will make three more interesting friends. If any of them are female, I will not sleep with them. Same for the males. Hopefully one of them is famous. Like Free Dominguez, she seems interesting. Or William Gibson. That'd be nice. I'm going to make friends with someone famous and ask them if they hate it as much as I do.

Hate what as much as you do? Being famous? Is this where the pretensious shit comes in? /grin/

What can I say except that commitments are commitments through good and bad. I'll dance with you anytime though.

the neat and tidy lives - so comfotable - so safe - so predictable

lack the courage to touch the flame - yea even to let the spark ignite

and yet they devour every drop, suck noisily at the milk dripping creativity from those who dare

Ah, the love/tolerance goes both ways I would think. Na zdrowie (cheers.)

"blood consciousness"..."mechanized civilization"...you made your choice, you lost the right...forget the "girl" existed...

If I were truly dead to you, why read the words of my ghost?

I find your "contrived" internal battle...amusing...nothing more...
